Best sheng jian bao, pan fried pork buns 😋
It is my first time visit this restaurant, and for me its ok. We order salted fish and chicken fried rice and it was good, house made pancake and green onion pancake were excellent, spicy shrimp dumpling was ok. The sauce a little bit salty. And pork feed was super salty and with szechuan pepercorn overpowered. We send it back and they fix it. They come back still a little bit salty. But much improvement from the first one. So beware to their salt level
We got like 7 big plates of delicious food for like $60, very great spot.
The food here is pretty good and the prices are too. Food never takes long to get to our table, and the service isn't bad. What I love about the service is that they let you eat in peace. Never once will they interrupt your meal to ask how you're doing. One thing from the menu I highly recommend is the broccoli beef. It's always nice and juicy and packed with flavor. My girlfriend and I love this place. We usually get three dishes and two drinks for less than $30.
Always a great place to stop by and get some dumplings. I love their pot stickers
Simply love this place. The food is always excellent!
Love their juicy dumplings!!!
This is one of my favorite dumpling restaurants in the SGV. Dont mistaken the name and only try the dumplings - their beef noodles, hand-pulled pancake, and string tofu and pork are some of my favorite dishes here.
Authentic Chinese food, especially dishes for breakfast. Vote for good dumplings and beef wrap. S
Good option for dumplings and other Chinese dishes. Besides dumplings they offer a wide variety of dishes. There are lots of parking spaces in back but it serves quite a few businesses so it can be packed.
I was pleased with the amount of food for the pricing. The soup was extremely salty and when I told them they said they would give me a discount and they didn't. The soup was almost 20 dollars each. I told them that the chicken chow main had very little chicken and they did nothing. I am very disappointed.
Soup Dumpling: The dumpling wraps can be better. It's kinda thick and soggy and the placement of the dumplings are too close and sticking together. Half of the dumpling skin are already ripped. Taste wise, it's pretty tasty but some dumpling have more soup than the others. WeirdBeef stew noodle soup: Broth and noodle is very tasty but the meat though. It is very lean and dry. Kinda disappointed.Scallion pancake: Pretty good, eat it while it's still hot otherwise it will get all soggyAtmosphere: Decent size restaurant but kinda close to the table next to me. Cleanness: Restaurant appears to be clean besides their bowls and spoon are kinda dirty. One of our bowl have an eyelash in it and the other one has chili pepper.Bathroom: Have to go outside and around the building. It's at the back of the kitchen. Not that clean.Tips: Credit card min of $25 & check in for free scallion pancake. Only one per table thoughParking: Parking lot in the back
The dumplings were great! We recommend the beef pancake and the string beans are great!
The food and service are great! The juice pork dumplings and the spicy beef noodles are phenomenal. And its quite affordable (around $7.50 for each item).
Nice little find in the heart of Arcadia
Perfect dumplings! Everything was absolutely delicious. Pan fried pork and celery were the best. The service was wonderful and there was a warm, inviting and very clean environment. It felt like we were visiting a family's home, and we can't wait to return again!
Their handmade pancake was our favourite, they were gone before I could take a picture of it
The food is tasty, the service is fast, I was pretty hungry and out of it so I feel like selecting what you want on the menu can be a tad confusing, double check you've selected what you want, I goofed on 2 orders! The pork dumplings are big and often placed so close together that they tear as you pick them up (stick to each other) :( the green beans are good!
This has been my go-to restaurant to get my soup dumpling fix whenever I am craving for it. In my opinion it's better than Mama Lu's in MPK and Din Tai Fung (and at a cheaper price I believe!) I also love getting their check-in offer for a free onion pancake. I have also tried their beef pancake, which wasn't too bad. They are a bit stingy with the beef for that compared to Mama Lu. I also always get their green beans, which I think they make very well. Overall, they make most of their food well and some not so well compared to their competitors. However, I come here mainly for their soup dumplings, which I think they're by far the best of the three. The restaurant is small and the last time I came for a visit around December '17 they just renovated the restaurant to a more modern feel. Restroom is shared between the whole strip of restaurants and is located in the back by the parking lot and kitchen staff entrance.
Great food!
They have a wide assortment of tasty comfort food and can make some items to order to accommodate food allergies.
My Mom loves this place and so do we!!!!
Small business with a good variety of Taiwanese dishes. Came around 6pm on a weekend and didn't have to wait for a table - there was definitely a wait when we were leaving. They offer a free Green Onion Pancake with Yelp check in but the pancake was pretty plain and lacking of green onions. Service was ok - they always kindly responded to our requests for a fork, take home container, and extra broth to our Pickled Cabbage and Pork soup (which was tasty!), but there wasn't any initiation of hospitality. Small shop at a convenient location with easy parking and they accept credit card.
Nice food house for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters. Authentic presentation of Asian Food. Their decoration is so much lovely, it feels completely comfortable to be there with friends and family. Food price seems okay as their quality. Noodles are made perfectly as my choice.
Hands Down Best place to get dumplings in the area, As well as a Ramen is pretty good everything is definitely fresh. and something I never tried before the handmade pancake is definitely unique with the dish it's flaky soft and warm in pairs perfectly with ramen. The spot is a little small but big enough location is kinda of difficult to see but you definitely get a bang for your buck you can get about 4 things of dumplings for 28-30 bucks
A tasty alternative to Din Tai Fung. Better value, but comparable items such as xiao long bao and the dumplings in spicy sauce lack the same flavor. They serve a great beef roll, though, and have a great take on ching you bing.
Great veggie dumplings. The sauce is very nice. It has an extra garlic kick. They were great. The place is clean and great service.
Great food, but be careful of ordering spicy food. They use numbing chili oil and so far I haven't met anyone who likes it.
Beef rolls. Pork rolls. Soup bao without the corn starch coating of din tai fung. Great beef and broccoli. Lamb and chive dumplings. Fast service. Clean. Reasonable prices. Ok, service is a little surly but screw it, it doesn't matter.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. The pork wontons in spicy sauce are excellent.
Their Mapo Tofu and fish taste awesome, the portion size was okay, store design was very warm and that improves your appetite. However the portion for dumpling was small give the price.Overall, our experience was great and we will come back later
Pretty good!!! Definitely beats the long wait at din tai fung.
Good food, very reasonable price!
Vegetarian steamed dumplings and eggplant were delicious, exactly the taste we were looking for. The food came out quickly and while the place was busy, the service was fast.
Not the best but edible. Better than nothing.
One of my favorite quick quick dinner. Live their hot AND sour soup. You don't have to add pepper or vinegar, it's seasoned just right.
They forced us to give them a tip and we had already paid and left the building, the man chased us out with our bill and kept asking us why we didn’t leave a tip... We felt very harassed. Keep in mind that tip is always optional, and we didn’t want to tip them because they didn’t do a good service on us. Bad experience... Never going back again.
It's recommended. Delicious dumplings & reasonable price
I've only ordered take out from here. But from my experience, the staff isn't the friendliest nor are they rude. The service is pretty quick. I only order dumplings from here, and they make it fresh, so it can take up to 30 minutes to get my food. Which isn't bad at all. They always get my order right, even on days where I think the language barrier might have messed things up. And the food has always been piping hot and yummy. Oh, don't forget to check in on Yelp to get a free order of the green onion pancake.
Pretty good place to get xiao long bao and dumplings, as well as items such as beef rolls if you want to eschew the wait at Din Tai Fung. A bit pricey for the items as well considering portions, but nowhere near as pricey as the aforementioned.
Mouth Watering flavor magic
It has become a new tradition: visit Huntington Library & Gardens, or hike the Eaton Canyon trail, or Angeles National Forest, and then eat at this Dumpling House. Love the food, prices, and service. No frills. Wish it were closer to home. We need a Dumpling House by Long Beach, Westminster, or Garden Grove, please!
Great food and service!👍
Everything was delicious.
Food is on the good side, service not so much. 2 person running the place every time I am here lunch or dinner. Thats the problem. Restroom if you could avoid it, please do. Parking can be problematic but now 2 shops adjacent is remodeling (7/2016), not a problem for now. The soup is the star of all the noodle except the braised beef spicy noodle. Duck noodle is excellent and did I mention the soup?
The eggplant with garlic sauce. Try it.
Food is meh. I’ve had much better dumplings. I’ll put it this way- I didn’t eat until full, I ate until I got sick of the taste, which doesn’t happen at other places. The lamb dumplings had this weird herbal taste. Service was great though.
Super clean. Delicious and fresh food. They stop taking food orders at 9pm so make sure to be there earlier. If you are already dining, they don't rush you to leave after closing time. And their dumplings...to die for! Great food and place. Will definitely go back there to eat on my next visit to the LA area...
Green beans nice and crispy with plenty of garlic and some preserved black beans. Portions large compared to DTF. However the XLBs (Shanghai dumplings) were disappointing as the skins were dry and thick (imagine closer to a dimsum style bun) and the filling slightly sloppy and tasteless. Also tried the braised beef spicy noodle which had a very tasteless broth and very dry, firm meat.
Good northern style CHINESE food. All the northern dishes, they do them well here. We love their pot sticker dumpling and the onion pancake. Their beef noodles varieties are also good to try. Don’t miss their Kungbao Chicken dish, very authentic. My wife likes their beef roll.
